Before you book a trip with us, please read our Terms and Conditions thoroughly. This will make it more easy to understand what is expected from “you” as the client and from “us ” as the tour operator, Manga Manga East-Africa Ltd. We all want to avoid misunderstandings, isn't it?

We assume that when you confirm a booking with us, you've read these terms and conditions and you’ve accept them. Booking will be legally considered as acknowledging and accepting these terms and conditions.

1. Booking and payment

Once you confirm your booking with us, we require a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the trip, at the moment of confirmation, if your trip is booked more than 31 days before the first day of our trip. This is to secure your confirmation. As soon as we receive your deposit, we can start booking all the accommodation etc. We will notify you when we’ve received your deposit.

If you confirm less than 31 days before the first day of your trip, a payment of 100% of the total amount of the trip should be made at the moment of confirmation.

Payments can be done by bank transfer in U.S. dollars. We will send you the payment instructions after confirmation. Your booking will only be definitive after full and timely payment. Only after that moment we can start booking all the accommodations etc. and secure your booking.

All charges that come with the payment (ex. banking costs, exchange rates fees) are for you. The total amount of your booking is the amount that we should receive on our bank account.

We will inform you once we received the deposit.

The first day of your trip is the first day we start to offer you any service (e.g. pick up from the airport).

To summarize:

-   We require 50% of the quoted price upon confirmation of your booking

-   Full payment must be made not later than 30 days prior to the first day of your trip.

 

2. Cancellation of a trip or part of a trip

It is possible that you have to cancel your trip or part of your trip due to various reasons. Please notify us through an email to info@mangamangaeastafrica.com

We use following cancellation fees:


Some accommodations use different cancellation terms. We will inform you about these when you make the booking.

In case you are part of a group and you want to cancel your participation, the cancellation fees apply and an extra fee to cover for the price difference for the other clients, since we calculated the price for the tour based on that certain amount of people. We will inform you about the specific amount once we receive your notification of cancellation.

 

In case of cancellation and you’ve already paid more than the cancellation fee, Manga Manga East Africa will make a refund as soon as possible. All costs for this refund are at your charge.

It might happen that we from our side have to cancel your trip, but of course we will do anything in our power to not let this happen.

In case we have to cancel your trip before the date of departure, for a reason other than Force Majeure (for example pandemics, crisis situations, weather circumstances, mechanical breakdowns, interference by authorities, or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of Manga Manga East Africa Ltd.) or other  than situations caused by your fault within your reasonable control, you will have the choice to:

 

3. Changes by client

In case you as a client want to make changes to a trip or part of a trip, we will do everything we can to make this happen, within reasonable ability. Notify us on time by sending an email to info@mangamangaeastafrica.com. We will inform you if the changes are possible.

Please take in mind that if these changes cause a higher price of the tour, these costs will be for you. Also when you want to change or cancel part of your trip on which we made agreements with a 3rd party, the costs of changes will be for you.

We will inform you about the possibility of the changes and the possible costs.

 

4. Changes to your tour by Manga Manga East-Africa Ltd.

We always try our best to make the tour happen as you booked it, but as you can imagine, traveling to Tanzania and East-Africa in general demands some flexibility.

We are not responsible for any changes made by 3rd parties or made by you as a client or made because of your neglect or own fault.

Changes might be caused by decisions of the government (for example price increase for fuel or park fees), by weather, unforeseeable and unpredictable circumstances which are not in our reasonable control. We are not liable for any of these changes.

With regard to the accommodation, we have no control over the availability of the rooms we offer to you in our price offer. At the moment of writing of the offer, we always check the availability for the demanded period of time, but we have no control over the availability between proposal and the confirmed booking. We can only confirm the accommodation once we’ve received the first payment as discussed in article 1. In case the proposed accommodation is not available anymore, we will notify you as soon as possible and will arrange the best available alternative of the same standard.

 

5.  Travel Insurance

It is your sole responsibility to carry the correct travel and medical insurance to protect yourself (and your group members) for the duration of your trip with us. We advise to include the option for repatriation expenses. There is health care available in Tanzania and East-Africa, but since you might spend some time in the middle of a national park, it might be helpful to have this insurance.

 

6. Medical conditions

In case you or a group member has any medical conditions or disability that can affect your trip, we ask you to inform us beforehand. That way we can do everything within our reasonable ability to provide a suitable trip. We are not responsible for any case of necessary cancellation of the booking or change of the booking, in case we were not informed about these specific needs before the booking.

 

7. Risk

By booking with us, you agree that our trips carry a certain risk for your personal health and safety and to your personal belongings. We assume that you’ve considered the risk coming with traveling to remote areas, travel to areas with underdeveloped infrastructure, activities in high altitude, trips with physical activities, encounters with wild animals.

By booking with Manga Manga East Africa Ltd. and thus agreeing with these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge these risks, and release Manga Manga East Africa Ltd. from all claims and causes of action emerging from any loss, damages, injuries or death resulting from these risks inherent to travel in general and adventure travel specifically, visiting wild and remote areas, and participating in adventurous activities such as proposed to you in your booking, to the fullest extent as legally possible.

We will provide you with information about certain risk, local customs, weather conditions, physical challenges or laws, within our best ability. We can not be held responsible if this information is not complete or if you as a client don’t act according to this information.

 

 

8. Third party suppliers

We are not responsible for any mistakes, cancellation, acts or omissions of our third supplier (e.g. accommodation, supplier of certain activity, etc.) or independent contractor.

 

9. Liability

We are not responsible for any loss, damage or theft of your luggage or other personal belonging. At all time, you are responsible for your own luggage. You should not leave personal belongings unattended at any time, whether it is in one of our vehicles or in any mode of transportation supplied by a third supplier.

This contract and any matters arising from it shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Tanzania law and the courts of Tanzania which shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any and all proceedings between us either relating to our contract or arising out of it.


10. Complaints

We strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests. If you have any concerns during your trip, please inform your guide or a company representative as soon as possible. This gives us the opportunity to address the issue promptly.We cannot take responsibility for complaints that are not reported through the proper channels. Additionally, refunds will not be provided for complaints raised after the trip if they could have been resolved on-site. If you wish to submit a complaint after your trip, please email info@mangamangaeastafrica.com within 30 days of your last travel day.
