Welcome to Manga Manga East Africa! safari
Are you planning to visit Tanzania? Have you always dreamed of a safari in Serengeti to see the Big 5, climb a mountain or see the big lakes? Would you like the experience of staying in a picturesque lodge, or would you rather stay in a more luxurious hotel? We can help you with that!
Why "Manga Manga"?
The word "Kumangamanga" (Swahili) means 'to wander, to walk around without a strict plan, to walk'. It describes how we like to live and travel, and what we want to offer our clients.
We want to dive with you under the surface of the touristic image of our homeland and show you the country in all it's glory and charm, with great respect for every persons values, for local folklore and for Tanzania's impressive nature. Since Ombeni is born in Tanzania, he has the right knowledge and connections to give you this experience.
We want to show you another side of Tanzania. Of course, we won't hide the touristic hotspots from you. Serengeti National Park or Ngorongoro Crater is almost a must see. But there is so much more to see in Tanzania, and we want to show you that with our personal and unique approach.
We love to wander around, go for interesting things we see on the way, change our plans if we see something better than planned before, and that's why we chose for the name Manga Manga.
How do we work?
As a small company based in Arusha, we offer you a more personal approach and stay in our lovely Tanzania, which is completely planned to your wishes. Our small team is multi-lingual, so you can contact us in Dutch, English and Swahili! We provide our own transport - or you can use local transportation; eat local dishes or more western food, we can guide you around or give you the right pointers to go about it on your own, ... Yes, you can have it all!
As you can see we don't have packages or fixed prices on our website. This is because we want to be as flexible as possible, in order to create a trip that fits your wishes and budget as much as possible. We do this together with you. We listen to what you want and add our advise to it, through email, phone call or video call.
Next to that we try to work without too much impact on the country: with respect for Tanzanians, to give back as much as possible to the country and to work as eco-friendly as possible. We choose to give our guides a decent salary per trip, so they don't depend only on tips. We avoid individual lunchboxes as much as possible (lots of waste) and work with a hamper. We buy our goods inside the country where possible.
We hope you get inspired by our site to visit our beautiful Tanzania. It will be our pleasure to give you the best experience possible!
Karibu Sana! Welcome!
