Tarangire National Park

This national park is less famous than Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, but not less worth a visit.

Because it's a bit less visited, you can have the feeling that you are there all alone, depending on the season. safari
Tarangire is named after the Tarangire River that crosses the park, which is also the main water source for the animals during dry season. During rainy season, this can become a very wild and wide river.

The park is popular for its high density of elephants, the high variety of birds and the baobab trees.

You can have a walking safari or a balloon trip in Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is reachable by car, it is around 2 hours from Arusha.
